報告人簡介：

Professor Wing Thye Woo is a famous economist. He received Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. He is University Chair Professor at the China Economy Research Institute of Liaoning University in Shenyang; Distinguished Professor Emeritus at University of California Davis; and Chang Jiang Professor appointed by Ministry of Education of China. He is also Vice-President for Asia at United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network; Distinguished Fellow at Penang Institute; and Visiting Professor at Fudan University, University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and University of Malaya. Professor Wing Thye Woo provided advice for many countries in the area of macroeconomics, foreign exchange management, SOE restructuring, trade issues and financial development. He advised China’s Ministry of Finance on the comprehensive tax and exchange rate reforms implemented in January 1994. He has also been a Special Advisor to the U.S. Treasury, the United Nations Millennium Project, and the Malaysian Prime Minister. His research includes economic growth and sustainable development, middle income trap, macroeconomic and exchange rate management, and public economics. Professor Wing Thye Woo is an expert on Asian economies, especially China, Malaysia and Indonesia. He has published over 150 journal articles and books.

胡永泰教授，著名經(jīng)濟學(xué)家，哈佛大學(xué)經(jīng)濟學(xué)博士，遼寧大學(xué)中國經(jīng)濟研究院全職教授，加州大學(xué)戴維斯分校杰出榮休教授，中國教育部長江學(xué)者特聘教授，聯(lián)合國可持續(xù)發(fā)展解決方案亞洲區(qū)副主席，馬來西亞檳城研究所特聘研究員，并在復(fù)旦大學(xué)、中國社會科學(xué)院大學(xué)、馬來亞大學(xué)擔(dān)任客座教授。胡永泰教授為許多國家的政府提供了宏觀經(jīng)濟、外匯管理、國有企業(yè)重組、貿(mào)易問題和金融部門發(fā)展方面的建議。他曾擔(dān)任中國財政部顧問小組成員，幫助設(shè)計了中國1994年1月實施的稅收和匯率改革。他還曾擔(dān)任美國財政部特別顧問、聯(lián)合國千年項目東亞經(jīng)濟特別顧問、馬來西亞首相國際顧問小組成員。胡永泰教授是亞洲經(jīng)濟，尤其是中國、馬來西亞和印度尼西亞經(jīng)濟方面的專家。他在經(jīng)濟增長與可持續(xù)發(fā)展、中等收入陷阱、宏觀經(jīng)濟與匯率管理、公共經(jīng)濟學(xué)等方面著述頗豐，已在專業(yè)經(jīng)濟學(xué)期刊上發(fā)表了150多篇論文和多部專著。
