講座內(nèi)容：

The phenomenon of return migration is common and significant across the world, yet it remains under-studied due to the lack of data. In this paper, we examine the patterns of return migration within the context of China, leveraging a novel dataset (CHFS2019) that provide detailed information on both emigration and return migration. Our empirical findings reveal that roughly 60% of cross-prefecture migrants have returned to their hometowns, with family-related concerns being the predominant motivation. We then build a general equilibrium model that endogenizes the decision to ``return'' and quantify the aggregate and distributional welfare implications of return migration.

張弛，山東大學助理教授，博士畢業(yè)于新加坡國立大學，主要研究領域為國際貿(mào)易、城市經(jīng)濟學、人口流動和經(jīng)濟發(fā)展。現(xiàn)主持山東省青年自科項目一項，一篇論文于Canadian Journal of Economics待刊。
